Workforce et al. Committee

Welcome to the workforce committee area.  This area contains "public" meeting notes and information related to the LouHIE workforce et al. committee. 

5-30-07 Meeting Notes

Workforce Committee Charge (in discussion):

The Workforce committee will:

  1. Be comprised of 5-10 individuals representing in a balanced way the perspectives and interests of all workforce providers (schools, colleges, universities) training healthcare workers in or for the greater Louisville metropolitan statistical area (including Southern Indiana).
  2. Help develop and recommend policies, procedures and strategies that A.) help workforce providers as a sector improve their ability to provide value to those they serve; and B.) help all other directors and committees of LouHIE improve quality and reduce costs of healthcare for the citizens of the Louisville community.
  3. Educate those individuals and organizations connected with workforce providers about LouHIE activities and opportunities, and identify their interests and concerns. This may include formation of an online workforce member “Forum”. 
  4. Appoint a Director for the LouHIE board of directors, who shall also serve as the Chair of the Workforce Committee.

 Time Commitment and Responsibilities:  

  • Attend committee meetings on a monthly, quarterly or as needed basis.
  • Be available for questions from those served, or LouHIE staff or other board members by phone and/or e-mail.
