Medicaid and SafetyNet Survey (continued) Next, please read the following statement. When you are finished, press continue. Employers, healthcare organizations and government officials from across the greater Louisville area are exploring the development of a new initiative called a Community Health Record Bank. When built, the Community Health Record Bank (CHR Bank) will store and protect private health information for individuals and their families. Individuals will then be able to make their information available to their health professionals through a secure electronic network. The CHR bank is expected to lead to improved quality of care, better patient safety and lower costs of healthcare for individuals. The CHR bank is also expected to offer new benefits to Medicaid and SafetyNet related organizations, such as reduced duplication of services, reduced claims payments due to improved health status of members and improved efficiency, convenience, and patient satisfaction. The following diagram shows how the CHR Bank may work.
Keeping this information in mind, when you are ready, please press continue and answer the questions provided. Your answers will be used by the Louisville Health Information Exchange, Inc., a not-for-profit community organization, to design the HRB Bank to be as beneficial as possible for your group or organization and those you serve. |
