The Louisville Health Information Exchange, Inc. (LouHIE)  A Kentucky e-Health Network RHIO for the Louisville region.
 
 

The Health Information Technology committee will:  

1. Be comprised of 5-10 individuals representing in a balanced way the perspectives and interests of all providers of health information technology in or for the greater Louisville metropolitan statistical area (including Southern Indiana).  This will include infrastructure hardware/network providers, standards providers, and applications providers for physicians, hospitals, and consumers.
2. Help develop and recommend policies, procedures and strategies that A.) help health information technology providers as a sector improve their ability to provide value to those they serve; and B.) help all other directors and committees of LouHIE improve quality and reduce costs of healthcare for the citizens of the Louisville community.
3. Educate those individuals and organizations connected with health information technology providers about LouHIE activities and opportunities, and identify their interests and concerns. This may include formation of an online member “Forum”. 
4. Appoint a Director for the LouHIE board of directors, who shall also serve as the Chair of the Health Information Technology Committee.

Time Commitment and Responsibilities:  

• Attend committee meetings on a monthly, quarterly or as needed basis.
• Be available for questions from those served, or LouHIE staff or other board members by phone and/or e-mail.
