Payers et al. Committee

Welcome to the payers' committee area. 

Payers’ Committee Charge (Approved):  

 

The payers’ committee will:

  1. Be comprised of 5-10 individuals representing in a balanced way the perspectives and interests of all payers (risk-bearing and TPA service providers) serving employers and other purchasers of healthcare in the greater Louisville metropolitan statistical area (including Southern Indiana).
  2. Help develop and recommend policies, procedures and strategies that A.) help payers as a sector improve their ability to provide value to those they serve; and B.) help all other directors and committees of LouHIE improve quality and reduce costs of healthcare for the citizens of the Louisville community.
  3. Educate those individuals and organizations connected with payers about LouHIE activities and opportunities, and identify their interests and concerns. This may include formation of an online payer “Forum”. 
  4. Appoint a Director for the LouHIE board of directors, who shall also serve as the Chair of the Payers’ Committee.

Time Commitment and Responsibilities:  
  • Attend committee meetings on a monthly, quarterly or as needed basis.
  • Be available for questions from those served, or LouHIE staff or other board members by phone and/or e-mail.
